12 oz can from Boise Co-op. Pale, clear golden, big frothy head fades to patches. Aroma comes in sweet, with a woody, piney edge. Taste is malty, mildly sweet and not that hoppy. Very laid back.

On tap in Meridian ID.
Pours a semi-hazed straw/gold with decent lacing.
Fairly juicy nose for a pale with tropical and citrus notes, hints of grassiness and crackery malt.
Less flavorful palate than the nose, the hops lean tropical with melon rind and citrus fruit...malt backbone beneath that.
Thinner...a bit watery...easy drinking.
An OK pale ale, nothing special.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a very cloudy burnt orange color with over an inch of white head that moderate retention and no lacing.
The aroma was hop forward, no real malt or grain aspects, with fruitiness dominating.
Pretty similar on the tongue, with the addition of a slight touch of citrusy bitterness at the back.
The body was medium light, smooth, and had a semi-dry finish.
Drinkability was good, I wouldn't seek another out, but also wouldn't turn one down.
Overall, a solid brew.

Wow. This one is called a New England IPA, but it looks more West Coast than Zach Morris. I mean, it’s transparent and orange. Umm... The best thing I can say about this beer is that it isn’t awful. That being said, like the Rams’ Super Bowl hope’s this year, there isn’t much. It’s just kind of there. Like your stoned little brother lying on a hammock.
Oh well.

i am surprised this doesnt have higher ratings, its a modern, clean, and vibrant pale ale, dripping with fresh hoppy goodness, yet still light, dry, and drinkable, a nice can slammer, but also a beer thats worthy of any glass on the shelf, i was impressed with this after being only lukewarm on most of the other hoppy stuff i have had from crux, really cant see any reason for low scores on this one. its simple sure, and the mosaic leading the hop charge makes it familiar too, maybe overly so, but it is objectively good beer, no doubt about it. i guess the freshness matters a lot, but i caught it right for sure. i like the bitterness from the centennial splashing with the fruity galaxy, a somewhat uncommon combination of hops there behind the mosaic that gives this a little wrinkle of uniqueness to my palate. i like the high carbonation and the notes of melon and lime and pineapple that come out when this warms up, and i like the dry finish despite it having a little maltiness midway though. good beer, nicely balanced, not too bitter, and super flavorful for this low abv. i could drink these all day!

The beer pours out a medium hazy dark golden color, with 1 finger of fast disipating white head---------------- the aromas are of dank weed, grapefruit, stone fruit and sweet malts(the aroma seemed generic and waterd down)-------------- the flavors are malty up front with some light citrus, light dank weed, and light carmel(the flavors are very waterd down) the beer has a thin mouthfeel with no bitterness at all-------------- overall this beer was okay - this one had some good things going for it but everything was just to light it seemed to be waterd down--

12oz can - this one's name is surfing-based, I can see that, but it reminds me more of the banal terms that they insist on using at my kid's daycare.
This beer pours a mostly clear, pale golden yellow colour, with three chubby fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat fizzy off-white head, which leaves some random streaky and sudsy lace around the glass as it quickly sinks out of sight.
It smells of estery domestic citrus rind, gritty and grainy cereal malt, some muddled tropical fruitiness, a faint earthy yeastiness, and more leafy, dank, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy caramel malt, some mixed and matched orange, lemon, and white grapefruit citrus peel, a bit of hard water flintiness, fading yeasty notes, and more leafy, musty, and floral verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly restrained in its quotidian frothiness, the body a decent medium weight, and generally smooth, with a wee airy creaminess encroaching once things warm up a tad around here. It finishes off-dry, the malt and obscured citrusy notes carrying the lingering day.
Overall - this comes across as a well-made version of the style, hardly bitter at all, with the attendant big-boy fruity hop essences running rampant. Easy to drink, and quite refreshing, especially as I live rather far away from the nearest oceanfront.

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high white head that died down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles covering the surface and some thick lacing near the bottom edges of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of orange citrus hops are present in the nose along with notes of floral hops.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that there are balanced flavors of citrusy and floral hops and a light amount of associated bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. No crispness is perceptible.
O: This APA is easy to drink, but isn't as flavorful compared to most modern beers in this style.
