Take off for the tropics courtesy of this Imperial IPA starring the rare and exceptionally complex Strata hop, bursting with juicy tropical flavors and citrusy aroma. Elevated by pilsner and caramel malt – as well as a floral dusting of Galaxy hops – this is one universally drinkable IIPA. Sit back, relax, and enjoy this sky-high sunset in a glass.

Very tropical aroma and taste with no bitter bite. It is almost refreshing if IIPA's can be refreshing, I think due to the citrus flavor is the reason. It has a medium mouthfeel and is very drinkable. Rated 4-29-2021

Bottle from the Co-op. Golden amber body, small tight head. Mellow, but potent, hoppy aroma. Tadte is buttery, bitter, malty, caramel. Tasty AF, velvety smooth. Wonderful

Pours a clear dark gold colour body with a rocky/frothy white head..
Very nice fruity, citrus aroma as advertised..very appetizing.
Taste a little more balanced by some strong caramel malts but hops still win out barely.. in fact its very balanced for an IIPA..not a bad thing but strange .
Mouth feel is very nice smooth and medium.
This is strange i liked it a lot but its a bad IIPA..so i am scoring to my own tastes. Not sure what it can be catagorized as..but its enjoyable

Appearance is transparent golden amber with a generous layer of white foam that recedes slowly leaving spotty lacing. Aroma is malty and citrus. Initial taste is slightly sweet with tropical fruit and citrus. Crisp and clean with a mild bitter finish.

Ah, a clear DIPA, and such a handsome golden amber color. Plenty of foam in the big New Belgium snifter and lots of unusual aroma. Mango and a whiff of orange squash, and I swear, carrots, but very pleasant. Hops are Strata with help from Galaxy.
This is quite delightful from first sip. It's sweet and malty but crisp and just acidic enough. Flavors of citrus but something elusively fruit, like fruit cake. Another winner from Crux. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.
