This beer pours a darker orange color with an off-white head and a sweet malt and citrus nose. Really like the sweet citrus taste which is really balanced. This is one great beer in my opinion. Rated 12-1-2022

16oz can from the Grapevine. Deep, clear golden, thick foamy head melts away slowly. Malty aroma with light fruity accents. Taste is toasty malts, sweet, weak orangy notes. Doesn't linger long, but a tasty, easy drinking IPA.

Pint can of Crux Fermentation Project's Krystal Juice IPA. Canned on 3/29/21. Served in a classic pint glass it's surprisingly crystal clear and yellow gold in color, with a thick foamy white head. Aroma is not too potent but clearly has a tropical mango and apricot fruit profile. Or is that nectarine? Flavor has just a hint of traditional IPA bitterness and is mostly just fruit juicy goodness. Between the low bitterness, neutral sweetness, understated flavors, and remarkably subtle carbonation this beer drinks like a mild. At 6.2%, that may be dangerous.
Good, but a bit less exciting than I'd hoped.

1 month old can into a pint glass. Pale yellow color like a lager or pils, nice crown retention but not much soap. The nose is a bouquet of fruity orchid flowers, orange, lemon, fermented apricot, etc, but not much malt. In contrast, the flavor develops from sour orange and apricot up front into spicy hop florals finishing on a touch of pale rich malt that lingers for a while, bouncing between those fermented fruits and soda bread esque malts. The mouthfeel is very crisp and refreshing, no slickness and a quick evaporation.
This is a great fruity pale that is true to it's name, sweet but not cloying and fruity but not quite funky. Crystal clear indeed.
