Pours a lighty foggy yellow with a finger of white foam. Head retention is fair. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, tangerine rind and herbal hops which are followed by an immediate cut of dryness. Flavor profile is grapefruit, orange and lemon zest with a little bready, biscuity malts. It has a light dryness at the back. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a little fuzzy, bubbly texture. Overall, tropical fruits are delicate and are further reduced by the dryness. Dryness it pleasant, but not quite as crisp as preferred.
Served in a 15.5oz Spiegalau tulip from a 12oz can.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. poured a very cloudy yellow color with an inch of white head that had good retention and light lacing.
The aroma had a light bit of funk upfront, with some nice malts underneath, and very light hops in the background.
Pretty similar flavor profile, with the floral hops showing up a wee touch more.
The body was pretty light, and didn't finish as dry as you would expect from something with 'Brut" in the style description.
Drinkability was fine, but i don't feel a burning need to have another.
Overall, an enjoyable enough brew, even a though a bit below Crux's usual lofty standards. Probably still worth trying if you see it though.

Clear golden color with fine grained foam in the delicate IPA glass. Kind of a creamy carbonation, another good thing about this style when it'd done right. Light cereal aroma with a touch of mango. There some fruit as you sip, but it's more restrained.
Interesting flavors-- biscuits, apple, even a hint of golden beets. I think this is one of the better Bruts right now. The little sweetness is actually tastier to my buds than the bone dry exemplars of the style. From a Washington supermarket, 12 oz cans in sixers.

Just a nice, slammable, crisp beer. Very clean flavor that doesn’t linger. Not a sipper, and doesn’t really drink like an IPA - but a great warm day beverage. Safeway, Portland OR, April 2019

A rather delicate take on the perennial question of B(bret)IPAs; I think that in this case a little restraint has worked out very well indeed. Color is straw blonde, which seems appropriate for a brety kind of thing. Aroma is on the light side of a typical IPA, nicely malty with bright hop tones, just a hint of white pepper from the wild yeast. It’s the flavor that seems to break new ground by looking for common ground and not breaking any barriers. The hoppy character is very light and crisp, with a touch of pine. In near perfect balance with this is the bret, which is administered with a very disciplined hand, not too little, not too much. Mouthfeel is also excellent, crisp and just a touch resinous. I do like over the top wild bret beers, but in the case Crux has made a quiet, calm little statement that says a lot to me.

Really dry, light, and crisp. It looks and feels great. Really nice carbonation and bubbly. Super dry. Clean. Smells a little yeasty which isn't bad. Taste mild dry hop. Hits the mark but not any distinguishable flavors otherwise.
