12 oz can from the Boise Co-op. Very pale golden, light fizzy head, lively carbonation. This is a clasdic summer beer, so tasty and so crushable. Grainy, bready aroma with light tones of citrus and melon. Taste is more grainy goddness, mild sweetness, touch of hops. Velvety, creamy body. This is excellent.

neat beer here from these guys, their new stuff (or new to me) has been great. i feel like i missed the freshness peak of this one, like its got a little fade on, but its still solid and unique in the style, not just another yellow slugger. its hoppy as they go, and more than that its uniquely hopped, strata and centennial, a cool mix in any beer, but in a light ale like this both varietals really pop, and to me come through a little more grassy than they do on their own, more noble-like, less pine and bitter, and not so over the top fruity from the strata, its an awesome hop profile and it really sets this blonde apart, even if its slightly oxidized from the cans i bought. hope to revisit it at max freshness one day, but i still enjoyed this as it was. very light body, a straw and meadow floral note to it in the nose, light citrus sure, and a crackery dry grain base that likely has some pils malt in it. its simple but effective, and the hops make the flavor original, herbal and tea-like, some orange, melon, honeysuckle, elderflower, all on a light but not boring malt base. this has the potential to sort of be the gold standard of modern blonde types when its optimally fresh, its got great carbonation, finishes dry, and allows a little bitterness from the hops too. summery and solid, will be seeking this out again when i can check dates on it first!

Golden brew with plenty of foam in the tumbler. This is described as a "Hoppy Golden Ale" which sounded good to me. The hops are Strata and Centennial, and used sparingly. Light body with plenty of suds in the mouth. Aroma of pine and melon, and lightly flavored with same.
This is a thoroughly drinkable light beer with a lot more interest than so many Lagers or Blonde Ales. Enough hops to give it some aromatic flavor but leaving only a trace of bitterness in the aftertaste. From the 12 oz can purchased at Safeway.

12oz can
Pours a lovely finger of creamy white head into my hourglass. Retention is wonderful, 5 minutes in and most of the head is still intact. Initial lacing looks great. Body is a straw yellow, high clarity but not crystal clear, with a load of bubbles coming up. Looks great so far.
Nose is citrus, light grass, maybe the smallest touch of melon. Faint pale grains. The crisp malt has this leak into pilsner territory at times, which I guess isn’t a huge problem. The aroma is quite light, but for what it is, it’s pretty nice. You can tell it’s going to be very sessionable, yet have some flavor too. I’m not blown away, but it’s inviting, so I’ll be a little generous and give it a 4.
Flavor follows suit pretty well. Citrus is very light, small amount of melon. The malt is pretty clean, but finishes grainy every now and again. Very light flavor, but it’s enjoyable.
The nucleation is so high here that by the time I’m halfway down, the carbonation is under medium. Body is pretty light in general, but considering the style it could be a lot lighter - has a little weight to it. Not sweet, a little dryness, but pretty neutral. Bitterness is low, but present. Decent mouthfeel, nucleation is always a pro and a con, really more so a con.
Drinkability is quite good. This is tasty, light, and pretty balanced.
Appearance turned out wonderful, the nucleation does pay off in some ways. Lacing was incredibly thick and the head was wonderful as well.
Overall a nice northwest take on a somewhat underwhelming style.

Clear pale gold with four fingers of white head. Rings of lace appear as the head drops.
Smell is floral hops with some bread crust malts.
Taste is light floral hops with a fair amount of bread crust malt.
Mouthfeel is light with good carbonation. Finish is dry and lightly crisp.
Overall a nice lawnmower beer.
Canned on 7/01/19.

Grabbed some of this in Meridian, ID and opened for the Blues/Bruins Finals game. Although not really my style, I it’s not bad. Crux is one of my favorite breweries and I love the high octane stuff they put out. Look is a nice cloudy golden color. Smell of lightly floral and hoppy. Taste is a little resiny followed by light pine and hops. Basically a watered down IPA. I can see how this would be good for hot camping on the river or in the mountains. I might grab some for that reason. But I’m still more of a full flavor hoppy IPA or DIPA style.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a cloudy medium yellow color with over an inch of white head that had decent retention and light lacing.
The aroma had light grain and malt scents, and citrus and pine hop notes.
Same on the tongue, light malt, hop forward.
The body was light, crisp and smooth, with a semi-dry finish.
Drinkability was fine, my can was gone quick enough, and I could see knocking back a few more of the course of the summer.
Overall, a pleasant little brew. Worth trying if you see it.
