Six pack of cans purchased at Haggens in Woodinville, Washington.
Canned on 12/16/19. Served in a pint glass.
Look- Slightly hazy golden amber color. Solid off-white head that recedes rather slowly to a thin cap of foam with decent lacing. Moderate carbonation streams visible.
Smell- Tropical fruit (pineapple and passion fruit), citrus (orange/tangerine and grapefruit), light green grape and pear, some dank, bready malt, light pine and herbal notes.
Taste- Pine and grassy/herbal/floral hop forward, the fruit flavors play backup. The aroma is deceptive considering they describe this as a tropical IPA.
Feel- Medium/light bodied, dry and fairly crisp, with a light bitter finish. Medium carbonation on the tongue.
O- A nice offering from Crux, but considering the inflated prices they charge, it will probably be my last purchase from them. They should have called this one 'Vicky's gone old school west coast' because that's what it is, just a basic PNW style IPA.

12oz can poured into 14oz teku. poured a very cloudy dark orange color with an inch of white head that moderate retention and light lacing.
Very light grain/malt in the nose, mostly joosy hops.
Pretty similar on the tongue, low grain, joosy hops, with a slight tinge of bitterness on the back end.
The body was the expected light, had good carbonation throughout, and a medium finish.
drinkability was fine, but I wasn't left wanting another.
Overall, a fairly typical "modern" IPA.

This stars the Vic Secret hop, and here it comes through with bright flavors and aromas lingering in the nose. Clear amber color with abundant foam in the Hopleaf goblet. Leafy and herbal with a hint of something like lavender.
Tastes of resin and white grapes. Fairly dry with a modest malty body. It seems quite bitter after it warms up and the tropical fruit dissipates a little. From the 12 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.
