Sip on some history with our latest IPA featuring Vic Secret and Galaxy hops sourced from Tasmania’s Bushy Park Estates, the birthplace of Australian hops. They’ve been harvesting hops here for over 150 years, and we’d like to think you can taste the tradition in this modern IPA packed with distinctive flavors of passion fruit and pineapple along with a pinch of pine.

Had a glass at Mahoney's Taphouse in Vancouver, back in January. What I do remember about it was the aroma was different, and the taste was a little different. Appearance was normal golden color with a medium head, about 11/2 fingers. Taste was very tropical, almost not tasting like a beer at all. The more I sipped on it the better I Liked it. It almost tasted like a fruit beer with the flavors coming from the hops alone. Rated 3-30-2021. 50 IBUs

From Beer Drop. Canned March 14th 2022.

It pours slightly hazy gold with an inch of foam. Leaves nice lacing.

Smells of grapefruit citrus, pine, with a tropical fruity dankness.

The fruity dankness is up front with grapefruit citrus and pine following up. It doesn't taste all that bitter but the finish does leave a noticeable amount of bitterness on my tongue. This maybe a little past its prime as I get a suggestion of some oxidation. Weird.

Good body. I wish that I had a fresher example.

Clear orangey amber in the Stella Artois goblet with long-lasting foam. Crux calls this a "Tasmanian-hopped IPA" and says the hops are sourced from Bushy Park Estates, hence the name. Interesting flavor like whole-cone hops, kind of resiny and herbal. Subtle aroma of peach and melon.

This 12 oz can is dated 02.08.21 and I can agree with Reidrover that the months have not helped it any. Still, it's quite gulpable with a warm sudsy mouthfeel. On the astringent side in the aftertaste, especially after such a tame hop adventure. But the modest malty sweetness helps it along.

Six pack bought from Roth's West Salem Market, Salem OR
$10.99
Vic Secret and Galaxy hops.
Pours a dark orange coloured body. No haze whatsoever . Small off white head. Leaves good lace down the glass.
Aromas of white wine grapes, lemon zest, pineapple juice and slight spruce tip.
Very balanced flavor, first sweet passionfruit/pineapple then a nice mellow pine fresh bitterness.
Very good mouth feel medium body wit medium to high carbonation..dryish finish.
Nice IPA..this was 7 days old. I have a bad feeling it will not age well though.
