Our latest West Coast IPA is a loud and proud symphonic wonder, exploding with a complex chorus of hops and malts. Citrus, pine, and even candy notes are amplified to eleven thanks to the orchestrated efforts of Mosaic, Simcoe, and Citra hops, while the malt bill keeps rhythm with a rounded aroma and moderate bitterness. Rock on!

Rated 2-20-2023 Pours a golden orange hue with a medium cream-colored head and some lacing. The aroma is sweet and light malt with a little citrus. The hops are well balanced as it is not real bitter. Have had this beer in the fridge for a while as the can date is 1/18/22, but it ages well.

another good ipa from crux, they do an awful lot of stuff well, but this is their bread and butter, a well enough refined ipa for fans of both ipa camps, not real bitter, juicy and dry hoppy but not thick and hazy and grainy feeling either, sort of a mass appeal take on the style despite its robustness overall. familiar even played out mix of hops with mosaic, citra, and simcoe, but these are classics for a reason and they get a lot out of them, it seems somewhat more new school than that mix generally does to me, which is cool. aromas and flavors of pineapple core, green apple, lemon hard candy, and new growth pine, not exceedingly intense or bitter, and the hops are all fanned out, like up front its cleaner citrus and a little terpene sort of concentrated punch, the middle is more tropical, even taking on some coconut nuance, especially as it warms, and the back end is more predictable evergreen character and middle of the road bitterness. some slightly toasted grain through most of it, on the dry side the whole way, and its very fresh overall, bright and easy, light even to drink, and well carbonated. i think a lot of breweries signed up to buy too many of these hops, nobody saw the craft industry slowing down the way it has, and my suspicion is part of the reason we see so many beers with this hop mix is because everyone is trying to burn them up. not that thats the case with this, i know nothing about crux on the supply side, but i will say that if it is that, its better than most, and they have found a cool way to bring the best of each varietal out and make their synergy pop. super tasty!

Look: Medium orange in color with a billowing white head that settles to a pillow, leaving great lacing behind as it does
Aroma: Navel orange, white grapefruit, blueberries, pine needles and sap, freshly baked bread, limes, and wafts of passionfruit
Taste: A citrus fruit salad immediately jumps out upon the first sip and deepens as individual fruit flavors take turns showing off. This is followed by a mix of sappy pine coupled with berries that hold the middle until citrus returns to close it out
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and fairly soft and clean on the finish with minimal felt dryness
Overall: I dig it. A tasty and well-made IPA that has a great mix of flavors and aromas from the hop combo used and comes together nicely. A nice bread from the juicy IPAs trending these days and one I would buy of try again if I spot it

Clear amber, a darker shade, with long-lasting foam in the IPA glass. Lush and spritzy on the tongue. Aroma of white wine and alfalfa. Flavor of dark berries and burnt stems, but actually quite tasty. Pleasant malty taste with a nice touch of sweetness. Moderately bitter aftertaste. From the 16 oz can darted 1/13/22.

Pack ya bags, cause we’re goin to flavortown baby! Carries a heavenly fragrance with a smooth taste profile and just the right kind of sweet (good malt) with the PNW hops tingling through and the citrus and pine flavors intermixing very well together

Mostly clear gold with an ample off-white cap. Familiar, well-executed notes of Pacific NW hops and ample malt backbone; impressions of citrus ring, grapefruit, grass and pine. Moderate bitterness only, smooth.
