New Favorite is a series of fresh hop beers brewed with...you guessed it, our new favorite experimental hop, for this year's limited Hazy IPA release, we're featuring Hop #1019 in all its unfiltered glory. This intensely tropical hop features potent flavors reminiscent of coconut, melon, & pineapple with a creamy, sweet mouthfeel.

This beer is like nothing I've tasted in a beer before. It pours a hazy golden with a nice size head that is an off white creamy looking. The mouthfeel is like nothing I've felt, its creamy and soft and silky. The hop flavor is non-existent in the conventional way, there is no real bite or bitterness, just a nice tropical flavor of pineapple and coconut. This is the best tasting beer I've ever had in an IPA style beer. Rated 10-12-2022 45 IBUs

crux rules, like completely and absolutely, so its crazy to declare as i am drinking this that this is among the best they have ever done, and might indeed be my new favorite, part of a series of fresh hop beers i guess, but this is the first one i have ever had or seen, and i dont know much about 1019 hops either, but this is all i need to know. so refined this one, so fresh, so dialed in, the very best of this side of crux and what they are good at. pale and cloudy, but not thick or dull and no sediment at all, the head is two inches high or more, puffy over the rim of my glass, bone white, frothy and sudsy, and lasting, sexy lace too as i drink on it, really pretty beer, more delicate than a lot of hazy ones look. the aroma is banging, a little sweet to me, but not malty sweet, almost candy sweet, pineapple, concentrated honeydew, cooked tomatillo even, herbal and fresh, subtle mandarin from the can, pineapple, and vanilla in its purest form, wow, maybe wheat based, simple on the malt side and nothing from the ferment. the flavor is even better than the nose, i get like hotel cucumber water, again green melon rindy and not quite ripe, but still juicy, no bitterness to this at all either, like impressively little for how hoppy it is, and none of the green vegetal bite for being wet hops, its just so fruity, white smarties candy, honeysuckle, honeycomb, elderflower, this is amazing and i need more of this hop in my life. there isnt real high carbonation here, well its just soft feeling, like it fades into the pillowy grain base, which is dry and easy, even though there is some leftover sweet linger to the beer overall, seems almost hop derived. i could drink a dozen or more of these, definitely my favorite fresh hop beer of the season so far, cant wait for more with this hop to get out into the world, ill be lined up for the next one i see. thank you crux!
