Here at Crux, we believe that the future of the IPA lies to the Northwest. Oregon-grown Mckenzie hops lead the way with notes of bright stone fruit, citrus and a distinctively piney dankness while malted rye and a supporting cast of Centennial and Citra hops bring it home with added complexity and a big aroma that declares the future has arrived. 60 IBUs

Rated 5-2-2023Pours a dark golden color with a nice head that stays around for a while, it also has a bit lacing. The aroma is weak, some citrus and sweet malt. Taste is sweet malt and stone and citrus fruits. also, a creamy texture on the mouthfeel. The hop bitterness is mild. Very good beer. BOD 1/25/23.

Look: Medium orange and opaque with a lofty white head that quickly builds and refuses to settle, slowly relenting and leaving behind copious amount of lacing
Aroma: Peaches, tangelo, crushed fir needles, some lime, pine, pomelo, wafts of rye, and freshly baked bread
Taste: Tangelo and peaches hit first up front and immediately start to deepen as pine and fir follow closely behind. More citrus notes trickle in and light rye spiciness becomes very noticeable in the middle before rye, citrus, pine, and peach are once again featured on the close, along with a light bite
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and lightly dry on the finish
Overall: This is some good stuff. A tasty and well-made IPA that grabbed me when it mentioned malted rye on the label as I’m a sucker for rye in beer and it wasn’t a letdown. A unique and delicious citrus, pine/conifer, peach, and rye blend that comes together nicely. Check it out if you see it

The 16oz can calls this a "Northwest" IPA - I'm expecting resinous, piney bitterness and a hefty malt backbone. Surprisingly this pours lighter in body than I expected, pale straw/gold in the glass with a light haze. Fruity nose with some present apricot and melon rind, as well as a nutty component (malt?). Stone fruit on the palate with a crisp and light body, very enjoyable.
