What does "Trouble Free" mean to us? Perhaps it's a life (aka beer) that's filled with bright, sunshine-y notes of fresh-squeezed orange juice, mango, tangerine and grapefruit. One that's exceedingly smooth on the palate, low in bitterness, and high on hazy good vibes. If beer is life, here's to one that's Trouble Free.

This beer pours a hazy golden with a nice 2 finger head and a good amount of lacing. Aroma is sweet malt and tropical fruit with a hint of citrus. Taste is tropical with a slight taste of mango and pineapple and some citrus zest. Mild bitterness throughout, very enjoyable beer. Rated 5-9-2023

crux does everything so well, i always look forward to their new stuff. this is lighter than so many of these, more refined, not to grainy and heavy, no burn at all, drinks clean for a hazy, summery as can be, and its sneaky strong at 7% abv too, drinks way lighter than that. between yellow and light orange in the glass, with a creamy inch of lasting white head and lots of lace and carbonation, its hazy but it glows still, plenty of light coming in, pretty pour, i wish more looked and drank like this. super fresh in the nose, tropical fruit abounds, less pineapple forward than a lot of beers playing in a similar space, instead its mango, clementine, dried apricot, and papaya, and sweet citrus, no bitterness at all to me but way more importantly its not green and biting and vegetal and harsh, its not forced and overdone, so rare these days. this is flavorful but its also almost delicate, lightly oily from the hops but in a good way and still clean on the swallow, a nothing ferment which is nice, takes it near dry and stays out of the way entirely, and the hops come in waves, melon and mango up front, orange in the middle, more lemony and zesty on the swallow, lemongrass too, beachy and juicy and delicious, and wonderfully proportioned, without much grain flavor but a very soft and appealing texture, high carbonation is perfect for these flavors, and overall this really hits as drinkable, modern, and well refined. leave it to crux to make another delicious ipa! so glad this is out there, too many of these are just getting way too heavy and packed, this is the antithesis of that, well done!
