Rated 12-18-2023 Just had a can, was checking on another beer and realized I hadn't rated it. Hazy golden pour with a small head. The aroma is citrus and stronger lemon as is the taste. Slightly sweet on the follow through. BOD 9-24-2023.

this absolutely bangs. i have fallen head over heels in love with hbc 586, and this showcase of it in wet hop form is just elite, a top performer in the fresh hop beer space this year, really wonderful, drinkable, distinctive, and memorable. crux always kills it with the hoppy stuff, but this is really next level. heaving rocky white foam is eager to leap out of the can. it carries an insane aroma of smashed coconut. rambutan, almost ripe strawberry, and muddled lemongrass, truly popping, springy and light, some oils and dankness too, and the freshness is obvious. the grain is light, could be some wheat in this, but its simple at its foundation and thats a good call, no hop interference from any malt, and the ferment is neutral and clean. the flavor is as good as the nose, fresh pineapple, papaya, coconut, and mineral forward white wine, its juicy and peppy and the hops start real early. the low bitterness is cool but this is still flavorful enough that it drinks like ipa, which has not been the case with all the wet hop stuff this year. its fast finishing so each sip tastes new again which is a joy for the palate. notes of key lime and sprite on the swallow, nothing green or vegetal here, its super tidy, and just balanced enough by the pale malt, really truly impressive beer, i wish this could be available all year round. a top ipa for me for all of 2023, really masterful, im sure this hop will have a name before long, too good not to become a thing! this should have higher ratings than it does.

16oz can from Boise Co-op. Hazy yellow pour, one finger fluffy white head, chunky lacing. Musty, earthy aroma, bread, floral. Taste is crusty bread, faint citrus, sweet, dry. Very subtle flavors coupled with a nice chewy feel. Crushable.
