Dry-hopped with Simcoe & Amarillo hops, this classic West Coast-style IPA is a route we'd highly recommend for those seeking an easygoing taste of adventure. A friendly, tropical approach smoothly ascends your tastebuds with notes of candied tangerine before landing softly with a slight sweet finish. Hang Tight and keep climbing!

Enjoyed on tap at The Rhino in Missoula, MT
Poured into a pint glass
P clear pale yellow w/ a 1-2f frothy white head
N fairly soft nose of lightly funky fruitiness; some melon as well
T this is tasty; fairly bold profile of citrus, passion fruit, and pine, with crackery malt supporting; earthy simcoe character; some tanginess, otherwise clean
Mf light-med bodied w/ med to med-high carb
O aside from the nose not being real inviting, I'm definitely digging this one

Rated 2-28-2024 Pours a clear golden yellow with a small head that turns into some lacing. Aroma is tropical and mixed fruit with a hint of melon. It has a nice lingering bitterness with some sweetness. Another good one from Crux. BOD 10-4-2023.

Look: Dull orange on the pour, which excites a substantial white head to quickly balloon into a pillow, slowly puckering away and leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Cara cara orange, semi-tart raspberries, tangerine, white grapefruit, a little pine, and bready malt
Taste: Tangerine and orange team up and strike first with loads of juicy and slightly pithy citrus that dance on the tongue while they develop depth. A little pine, grapefruit, and candied orange hold their own in the middle, along with a subtle raspberry note and closes with more tangerines and a light, but felt bite
Mouthfeel: Full, clean, medium-high carbonation, and lightly dry on the finish
Overall: I dig it. A new-to-me IPA from these folks is something I’m always down to try so took a flier on this and it’s good. Tasty and well made in the WC-style with a heavy tangerine presence throughout and with nice malt balance, bite, and drier finish

POurs a clear amber with plenty of foam in the New Belgium snifter. Bright and sudsy on the tongue with a light body. Pleasantly fruity and sweet to start, with a dry finish. Tastes of peach and watermelon. Some tropical notes with a bit of pineapple in the nose. Lingering astringency after some sipping. Overall this is a lighter sort of hoppy brew, but overly bitter. Highly quaffable with a distinct bitter edge that suggests another sip soon. From the 12 oz can purchased in Washington. Dated 2/22/24.

Canned on 12/4. Pour is a light amber-straw color, unfiltered but short of hazy. A finger of white head, fades to a skim coat. Nose is not definitive, mostly light floral with beer-y aroma. Taste is quite dry, with a good measure of bitterness and flavor adequate for an IPA, falls a bit short here. Carbonation is good.
Overall, the beer is a good IPA if you like that aspect. Glad to to have tried it, but won 't be seeking it out.
