Growler shared by a friend. Apparently this is brewed with an experimental hop from the Alsace region of France.
Pours a slightly hazy darker and bright gold color with a decent white head.
Aromas are of light citrus, hard candies, and white wine.
At first sip this beer reminded me of beers brewed with Nelson Sauvin, but this is a different beast. Starts out with some crisp white wine flavors, then settles into a thick melon and orange sweetness. Finish is slightly dry, with some faint mineral bitterness.
Mouthfeel is nice and full, smooth as well.
Overall, certainly unique. But too sweet for me. Worth a try because it is different, but it wasn't really something I would get a growler of. I will say it grew on me a bit as I finished my glass though.
