A- Deep mahogany body from the 500ml bottle to a becher. A tan-brown cap rises with a creamy texture to a finger high. Good retention and plentiful webs of lace.
S- A good single malt scotch whiskey presence off the top but not boozy or unbalanced, the barrel seems smooth. Salty burnt seaweed peat, caramelized sugars, brown sugar, roast, vanilla oak degradation, raisins and pure smoke.
T- The scotch opens up a bit more but shifts towards a relaxed, very smooth aged single malt barrel. No booze but huge vanilla oak, seaweed smoke, brown sugar, toast, sea salt, raisins, toffee and a hint of cocoa.
MF- Light to medium body considering the complex and intense flavors. Medium level of carbonation and a foamy texture.
A great combo of Scotch and a toasty brown ale.
