From the can, it pours a hazy rosy color with a (too) huge, rose-tinged head that very slowly diminishes. A bit of muskiness in the nose. In the mouth, it washes over the tongue with a bit of sweet, and then a swish of funkiness in the mouth. Interesting.

16oz can. Pours a pinkish red color with 2 inches of frothy pink head. Very little lacing. Musty, funky aroma with lots of earth and some sweetness. Maybe a hint of citrus hops. The taste is funky, musty and earthy with a fair amount of beets. Light floral hops, but they are dominated by the funk and earth. The beets work well with the brett adding a bit of sweetness to the earthy flavors. Funky, musty finish with a bit more of the beet flavor. Lots of carbonation with a medium body. A very strange beer that somehow turns out to be good, although I’m not getting much IPA.
