And now, I embark on yet CANother brewery horizontal as a part of The CANQuest (tm)! It's all very exciting.
From the CAN: "Boss Collaboration Series #15"; "Newburgh Brewing Company and Friends"; "Hazy & Juicy NEIPA"; "Drink Local".
I did some in-CAN agitation before Crack!ing the vent to ensure that any flocculate was back in suspension. CAN't have an NEIPA without haze, right? I gave it an aggro C-Line Glug just to be totally sure. It foamed up beautifully to form two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, eggshell-white head that suddenly exhaled & disappeared. 8=O Color was a cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5). Nose was VERY citrusy, more towards orange/tangerine, but with a bit of grapefruit thrown in. Mmm. Mouthfeel was medium, but quite slick on the tongue, not exactly creamy. The taste had a definite hop-driven bitterness, almost to the level of oversaturation, but without the telltale graininess, this was on-point. The bitterness might not be to everyone's liking, but for me, it scratched an itch. Finish was more bitter than precisely dry, but I am calling it dry. YMMV.
