Served on tap in a 16 oz (473 ml) conical pint glass at the Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, NY.
A: Pours a dark brown color with a one finger, light tan head, low retention, and essentially no lacing.
S: Tangy with aromas of black coffee, cola, and sarsaparilla. Maybe a cocoa note.
T: Slightly tart up front and semisweet. Flavor pallet basically follows the nose. Bitterness outweighs sweet element without achieving balance.
M: Light bodied with medium carbonation.
O: Enjoyable, but not necessarily much in keeping with the stated style.

Sampled on 01DEC12 at the brewery. Pint serving in a standard shaker glass for $5.00.
I just now checked the brewery website for info on this, and I was shocked to see it listed as a dunkelweizen. My impression of it while drinking was of a Munich Dunkel....
Color was a deep, opaque brown, with a thin, wispy, off-white head. Most bubbles clung to the edges, with light lacing left behind. Had a mild aroma, and all I could detect were some roasty notes. It was somewhat less than medium for body, and had some prickle attacking the tongue.
Flavor was also roasty, with some mild choco and coffee action as well. Had minimal sweetness, mostly being rather bitter and dry. No banana; no clove... not that I could tell, anyhow... Quite pedestrian, imo.
