Pours a pitch black color with a finger width brown foamy head. Head retention and lacing are both excellent. Aroma of chocolate, toffee and coffee. Delicious! Big creamy chocolate taste up front quickly followed by toffee and a bitter chocolate. I can get a little bit of bourbon at the end with warming as it goes down. Heavy bodied and silky smooth with mild carbonation.

Draft. Snifter. Not much of a head that didn't last but didn't matter. Coffee most prominent aroma. Chocolate tones most prominent taste from start to finish. Texture was medium, good enough. Very nice stout in a state that historically has not shined in this category.

Pours opaque black with brown rims. Immediate aroma of hazeulnuts, vanilla paste, tight-packed coconut sugar, chocolate. Typical Brash earthy notes come through on the tongue - bitter coffee balancing things out.

Might like this a tad smoother/thicker - the decadent aroma isn't so pronounced on the palette. Awesome brew all the same. More of these character-forward stouts, please!

Crowler filled two days prior from brewery. Dark, blackish brown opaque appearance; quarter finger of soft, caramel colored head. Beautiful roasted coffee and chocolate on nose. Mouthfeel a bit too hollow for me.

Poured dark brown out the.crowler..
Black in glass.with a finger of khaki head. Medium carbonation coming up the sides
Very strong roasty malts, bitter coffee, hints of leather, small amount of pepper skin on the back..

A lot of chocolate in the taste. Bitter dark chocolate, roasted malts, black coffee, espresso, finished with a mild sweetness

Medium plus mouthfeel.. surprisingly thick after a thin looking pour

Overall very good..
