5 oz pour. Pours a very hazy golden color with a thin foamy head. Retention is mild. Lacing is. Piney and caramel aroma. Piney taste with a smooth, boozy, caramel finish. Medium bodied with mild carbonation.

On tap at J.Henry’s Clear Lake
L: perfect orange-amber translucent. Very little head. Lots of lacing.
S: Very nice for the style. Stronger hops would have gotten a 5
T: The taste and feel are so different that this is almost a new style. It’s creamy. One of the maltiest IPAs I’ve had, especially without that much hop balance - but still enough to be an IPA.
F: Maybe the thickest IPA I’ve had. I went to sip it and it was more of a slurp.
O: If I’d known what I was getting, it would’ve been higher. The unexpected thickness and maltiness are genre-defining. It could be a new trend and would be a great beer when expected. Could pair well with strong cheese or steak.
