Alcohol, bourbon, and hints of chocolate and coffee greet the nose. It pours brilliant dark brown under a 1” very finely bubbled tan head that dissipates to a thick film. The palate mirrors the nose with bittersweet chocolate, coffee, bourbon, and alcohol. Its surprisingly dry for such a big beer and finishes with some bitter chocolate astringency. Very rich and creamy, full bodied to chewy with a pleasing alcohol warmth. This is a good beer but the chocolate and the coffee are almost too dry and intense. It might be more drinkable if it were dialed back just a hair but on the other hand, I do like it.

A-black with a brown head that leaves a heavy lace
S-bourbon, coffee and hops with some alcohol aroma
T-hops, coffee and malt is heavy at first, then comes the bourbon aftertaste with a good alcohol waming with both lasting til the end
M-full body, sticky, and medium carbonation
O-balance is great with this beer. The hops, malt, bourbon, and alcohol warmimg balance this beer out where nothing was overpowering.
