Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazy orange-yellow color with a billowy two finger head of pure white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave behind a nice level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The nose of the beer is heaviest of a wheaty and lightly grainy smell with a bit of sweetness from an orange aroma. Along with these smells are some spice smells of coriander and clove as well as a little bit of a yeast cake smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet toasted malt and citrus flavor with lots of tangerine and a bit of sweeter grapefruit. Along with these tastes are some rather wheat and lightly grainy taste. As the taste advances a yeasty flavor begins developing more with it brining a little bit of coriander and lemongrass. The sweeter flavors dwindle some toward the end, drying out the flavor profile ever so slightly and leaving a nice crisp wheaty and grainy flavor to linger on the tongue
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is thin with a carbonation level that is rather high. For the light nature, wheat tastes and the citrusy and yeasty flavors the feel is fantastic, making for a crisp and very drinkable brew overall.
Overall – A quite nice and easy drinking witbier
