As described by the brewery: An American pale ale brewed exclusively with Barley that was grown and malted in Pennsylvania by Deer Creek Malt house, in Chester County. This Pale ale was single hopped with Summit hops.
ABV 5.0% IBU: 47
Had on-tap at the brewery in State College, PA
L: Pours a clear dark golden color, thick creamy head.
S: Hops, pine and citrus with freshly baked bread in the background.
T/F: Pretty standard for the style, hops there to taste but not overwhelming. Smooth brew with a nice malt balance. Reminds me strongly of their 'Mt. Nittany Pale Ale'. Moderate carbonation and smooth.
O: A nice American Pale Ale and a pleasant drink. Light and very sessionable, and would be great with food. I didn't find it to be overwhelmingly different from Otto's 'Mt. Nittany Pale Ale', but bonus points for playing around with local ingredients.
