Had on-tap at Otto's in State College, PA - served in a tulip glass
L: Pours a cloudy golden color with a generous off-white head that left a nice lacing on my glass.
S: Gorgeous... tequila on the nose, well balanced by the fresh wheat of the Saison style. This beer smells delicious.
T/F: This was a phenomenal beer... a classic complex saison flavor with a fruity/citrus yeast backbone. A nice alcohol warmth plus a nice smooth tequila finish. Moderately carbonated and very smooth.
O: I wasn't sure how tequila-aging a saison would work, but this is one darned good beer. It was a limited selection and shot out in no-time. The tequila was subtle but really complemented the style. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they brew it again!
