Had on-tap at the Brewery, poured into a goblet.
L: Pours a dark mahogany color, nearly black. Two fingers of off-white head and generous lacing.
S: Dark fruits and roasted malts... cherries and bread.
T/F: Overall malt forward, gently toasted with dark fruits providing some interest in the background. Honey and cherry are there as well, but the beer is not what I'd consider sweet. Nice carbonation on the palate. Dry at the finish.
O: A nice winter warmer from Otto's and one of the better beer's they've put out lately. I like the take on a Belgian Strong Dark and the cherry flavor complements the brew. They usually do something nice for their warmer and this year was no exception.
