An unfiltered, hop forward IPA with a generous amount of both Nugget and Citra hops to make it very fruity.

On tap at Hofbrau House, Bellefonte, PA. Mom's 77th birthday celebration!
Very fresh aroma, tropical sweet and lemony tang.
Taste follows well. Tangerine, lemon peel, and candy sugar. A little sweet for my taste, but really excellent offering.

Split a pitcher of this at Hofbrau Pizza in Bellefonte.
LOOK: Came with a good white head atop a hazy dull gold pour. The head retention was excellent, and after pouring in each glass.
AROMA: Sharp citrus aromas of grapefruit, resin and pine.
TASTE: Hop head delight, sharp , acerbic, citrus hops, tart. Bread malts are present but the hops do dominate.
This was a solid IPA.

The rye beer I consumed from Ottos was excellent. This beer is an IPA called the Green Weenie. I was in the Army, and we used that term loosely and often derogatorily. Hopefully, it refers to fishing, I digress. I served the beer in a pint glass at 46 degrees. The pour of the beer formed a two-fingered bright white head with above average retention. As the head dissipated, some lacing formed. The color of the beer is SRM 6, golden yellow with amber hues. The beer is clear, with carbonation bubbles visible. The appearance of the beer is average; better head retention is always a plus.
Initial aromas in the beer are pine needles, resin, grapefruit, oranges, lemons, toasted biscuit, and bread crust. Next, I smell herbal, floral esters, and peaches.
I taste grapefruit, pine resin, oranges, lemons, toasted biscuit, bread crust, herbal, floral esters, band-aides, cut grass, and dew.
The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent, crisp, and dry.
The body of the beer is medium, medium carbonation, and full finish.
The IPA is more aligned with WCIPA. Lots of grapefruit and pine flavors and aromas. The beer is crisp and clean. I wanted a firmer malt backbone. I enjoyed this beer.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 12/6/19, so a mere 3 weeks old.
Looks very nice in the glass. Faintly hazy yellow body with a strong white head which persists throughout leaving nice lacing.
Aroma is somewhat musty.
But no mustiness in the taste thank goodness. Citra and Nugget are about my favorite hop variety, and they are used well here. There is a strong malt background to cut the bitterness to about medium. Good solid IPA here.
Mouth around medium, initially a touch watery before a nice bitter finish.
Overall, very nice IPA from Otto's. Would certainly say yes to this again

After reading others state it was cloudy found mine to be fairly clear. Definitely citrus hops coming through nicely - and agree the aroma is not strong. Really enjoyed it - enough to get a sixtel for home..

Otto's Pub and Brewery "Green Weenie IPA"
$5.50/pint on tap at the brewery on 25 November 2018
Notes: listed at 7.0% abv, and brewed with Nugget and Citra hops. Cloudy orange body, bright white head. Average head retention and lacing. The aroma is fairly limited which is odd for an IPA, but the flavor is much fuller with sweet malt, lots of orange, some citrus pith, and moderate pine. A moderate bitterness balances it. Medium in bodied and smooth. Quite nice.

DATE: July 7, 2018... OCCASION: Partying with Jer, Ryan, Cheri, Russ, and Amy--fun times... GLASSWARE: Otto's pint... pours a hazy, opaque, swampy glass that sports a creamy, swirling white head... looks more like an NEIPA, which isn't an insult... strong resin, wet leaf, lemon citrus, orange peel, green tea, a bit of toasted biscuit... an earthiness empowers this mild-mannered aroma... creamy, medium-bodied, and strong at its end... a lingering, buzzing good time swirls about the mouth.... the teeth are chattering, much suggested by its hop-forward profile.... this is a resin-drenched, lemon, orange and grapefruit-soaked, bread-fresh and satisfying...

Had on-tap at the brewpub. Poured into a pub-club mug
L: Clear light golden pour. 2 fingers of foamy white head... great lacing.
S: Pine and resin... mild citrus peel.
T/F: Grain and light malts form the backbone. Nice bitter hop profile... citrus and pine.. earthy and resinous. Medium to light in body. The finish is bitter and fruit.
O: A pretty solid IPA from Otto's. One of their better spin-off IPA's, and overall well done.
