A-Deep, dark black with a creamy medium tan head. Head reduces a bit to leave nice lacing.
S-Strong dark roasted malt with a touch of spicy hops and a hint of astringecy.
T-Rich, dark roasted malt upfront melds well with a light spicy hop kick and the drying effect of the rye addition. A well done and unique Schwarzbier.
M-Medium body with good lasting roasted bitterness.
D-An underappreciated and undermade style. This one has all the rich, roastiness you need in a beer with a low enough ABV to be almost sessionable. Kudos to Otto's (Charlie) for making it and to Zeno's (Dave) for requesting it!

Brewed by Otto's for Zeno's. Had it on tap at Zeno's.
A-Pours a beautiful deep, opaque black with a creamy tan head. Almost certainly the richest looking schwarzbier I have ever seen.
S-A strong roasted malt presence with a grainy rye note in the background.
T-Really excellent. Roasted malt in the front mixes with a grainy breadiness. Again, the rye really brings a great twist to the flavor of this beer.
M-Medium bodied with good carbonation.
D-Yeah, man. Had to stop at two as we had other places to go, but I could drink this all day.
