Poured into a standard hefe glass. I gave it a vigorous pour but only got a very slight head that now, a minute later, is nearly faded away. The aroma is a great hefe scent though, highly fruity, rather bubblegummy, with light phenolic spice. Flavor is dead-on too: plenty of banana, bubblegum flavor. This is definitely a hefe more on the fruity than phenolic side, though there is some light spice. Bitterness is a little higher than normal, it seems like, but it's not "out there"--it just dries it a little instead of leaving a sweet sensation at the finish. I think this really could use some more carbonation, if the bottles are rated for it. It lacks the spritzy feel of the best German examples. Still, it's highly drinkable, and I will enjoy finish the rest of this bottle off (together with the olive & tomato pizza slice I just bought with this at Whole Foods).
