Poured at 43°F from a 12oz can (no date) into a Mikasa Ale glass. Allowed to warm up to 45°F before reviewing. Consumed on 14Aug16.
SMELL: Mild aromas of peaches, white grapes, bananas, and pears are backed by subtle aromas of spicy rye, clove, white bread, earthy hops, and floral hops.
4 out of 5
TASTE: A mild fruity goodness caresses the palate with flavors of banana, peach, pear, and white grape. A spicy balance quickly forms as subtle flavors of rye and clove join in. Subtle flavors of white bread flow in right after as the banana and clove flavors grow slightly stronger. A subtle earthy and floral hop presence enters lastly as all prior flavors maintain.
3.75 out of 5.
NOTE: The can states that this is a session beer. I would have to agree and further say, "mission accomplished!" While this did not knock my socks off, it impressed me for being so easy to drink. This is a beer that lives true to its name. I now cannot imagine going to the river during the Texas heat without taking a few cans of these.
