Appearance: Red with a little brown concentrating in the center. Slightly hazy, but nonetheless comes alive under light. A 1/3 inch head quickly dissipates. Low viscosity.
Aroma: Caramel, chocolate with a little cocoa and a biscuity flourish. Prominent sweet notes in the nose.
Taste: Some initial light orange and pine notes, followed by nice caramel and chocolate malts and a good biscuity finish. Not exceptional, but solid within the American red ale style. A simple, understated beer.
Mouthfeel: Good; light and thin without being watery. Low carbonation with hops balancing the malt throughout a pint.
Drinkability: This isn't a beer that's going to blow folks away, but solid and drinkable nonetheless.

Beer poured a dark ruby red with a nice creamy head that left a fair amount of lacing. Smell was of roasted grain but not real strong of an aroma. Taste was of some dark fruit and I think I noticed toffee in there as well. Mouthfeel is medium, this beer is definately drinkable and worthy of a session if you are at the Grumpy Troll.
