This beer was a mistake....a batch of the Troll's Gold lager didn't turn out right...but what it became is very tasty!
It hit the glass honey-coloured, and a bit hazy with bubbles continuing to rise long after the glass arrived at the table.
The smell made me think of a hefe- there was a boatload of clove and banana, and a nice kick of citrus.
Flavour was just what the smell implied: very tangy, a bit sour, with a very hefe like quality. The main citrus here seemedto be orange, not lemon- though the lemon did appear in the aftertaste. (BTW, be sure to ask the bartender to leave the orange slice off...) It's very pleasant.
Body is medium to light, with a high tight carbonation.
Very interesting brew with great character. Very interesting....so much so, I had to go back for another a few nights later.
Be well
