From 6/4/12 tasting notes. Enjoyed this brew on tap. Arrived at my table in a pint glass. Served pretty well chilled.
A) A light brown, maybe more of an amber with brown tint. The head was minimal, a half a finger at best. The head dissipated quickly. Some decent lacing was left behind on this one.
S) The aroma was quite mild initially, but picked up with a little warmth. Darker malt sweetness and some roast. Light hops also detected.
T) Toasted whole grain bread, malt sweetness, and a nice nutty flavor. The hops comes through on the backend, which creates a grassy/earthy finish.
M) A lighter body, but definitely not thin. Moderately carbonated, this was smooth, somewhat creamy. The aftertaste is earthy and a little dry.
O) I enjoyed this beer, good drinkability for sure. If you find yourself in Mount Horeb, WI, stop by the Grumpy Troll and give this one try.
