Draft poured at Beer Revolution (from notes).
Slightly hazy, orange gold color, thin white head. Ok retention, thin lace lines.
Smell of grapefruit, pine, floral hops.
Caramel malt base, citrus fruit, some pine, earthy hops in the taste. Finishes a bit metallic.
Good carbonation, but still a bit thin. Dry finish.
Pretty average, all in all.

16oz pint at Beer Revolution.

This beer appears a hazy medium ripe apricot hue, with one skinny finger of thin, wispy, and faintly bubbly dirty white head, which leaves some decent cuneiform lace around the glass as things drop away.

It smells of muted orange and grapefruit fleshy pith, pine needles, a restrained caramel/toffee malt, and a further bit of floral, perfumed hops. The taste is thin, somewhat metallic orange and tangerine rind, a bready, pastry-leaning caramel maltiness, a blended forest floor pine bed astringency, and some lazily bristling perfumed hop notes.

The carbonation is present, and pleasant in its simple supportive nature, the body a staunch, stoic medium weight, a tad too bracing to be considered outright smooth, but gentle enough on way down. It finishes off-dry, the fruity hops, fruity malt, and fruity alcohol all strangely not really adding up to all that much overall fruitiness. Huh.

A decent enough English IPA, with an adequate number of solemn nods to the colonies' penchant for citrus and pine hops to keep both camps content. As it warms, the metallic nature pretty much falls away, rendering this an easy-drinking, well balanced tipple.

On tap at Beer Revolution. Told us it was from Ireland. Orange, looks and taste closer to an ESB. Metallic. 65 IBU but that was not felt. Earthy. Drinkable.Caramel and malt certainly sweet enough. What happened to the fresh hops? I think others would agree they are not there.
