Ashton Brewing Company (The Old Mill at Ashton)

This place it is out in the country and it is a bit of a drive, but so far the few times I have been there it has been excellent. The atmosphere of the old country English style pub is excellent. The beer I have had tried, which were the cream ale, the amber and the English IPA, been really good too. They have live music on Sunday, and although we didn't sit out there, from the looks of it they have a really nice patio. They also have growlers available of all of their beers.

Found this place on Beer Advocate and decided to take the back roads to Ottawa and stop in. An amazing hidden gem! There were six beers to choose from. I got a flight which had four beers and a water to cleanse the palate. Had the cream ale, brown, IPA and the vanilla stout. The IPA was the most flavorful and my favorite. The flight came as a Ashton Brewing Company truck, with the drinks in the back, unique indeed. We also shared a plate of nachos, which had homemade salsa. Kind of a local place, but filled up quickly for dinner before six. When they asked if we had reservations we thought she was kidding, but by the time we left there were very few tables left. Service was great, and food came out quickly. Quality of the food and beers won us all over and we will go back
