Copenhagen 5/9-2019. 50 cl bottle from Auchan, outside Gdansk. Drawing of Crazy looking Wrestler type on the label.
Pours unclear amber with medium-sized white head with a yellow hue. Bubbly. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense. Sweet fruitiness meeting a dry, hoppy bitterness. Peach and sweet Pear. Hard citric edge with Grape fruit and Lemon.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet neatly balanced by a slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet, malty undertone peeking in. Semi-dry finish.
Fairly light for a DIPA. But nicely balanced and with strong flavor with a bitter bite.

Chilling after drinking Jack the Rower. Mike looks like a rather hairy boxer.
Looks the same as Jack, but more bubbly. Aroma is like cannabis and mega strong and flows throughout your being. One of the best aromas ever. The taste is a little smokey like the Jack. In general I like strength and bitterness more than anything, but this beer has taught me what happens when strength and bitterness are everything. It's very ancient tasting, like it has been stored in a cellar for a long time. It needs some West Coast apricot freshness to balance this crazy uncontrolled muskiness. After this I need a chilled Namylow to wash it down, this is seriously crazy.
At least they call it Crazy Mike, this is certainly one of the craziest beers I have drunk. It's not at all smooth and really packs a hoppy punch. Hairy Mike totally represents it perfectly. If I had to write the flavours, I would say twigs, bark, cannabis, smoked orange peel, burnt banana skin, cigarette ash and some very faint mango. It's an amazing creation, and probably grows on you, the more that you drink it. For some reason the hop types are not listed on this, where as they are on Jack. I guess in this they just mix whatever hops they can find...I'm not sure which I prefer.
Overall, an amazing creation...though needs some West Coast IPA fruitiness to balance the extreme bitterness. I do like it, however the taste is a bit too chaotic and smoky to get a good rating. And usually the more bitter a beer is, the more I like it.

S:

T:
-Follows the nose + candied sugar
F:

O:
A very old school West Coast IPA.I found it had way too much sweetness on the tongue though.

Bottle shared. Semi-hazy amber with a thin white head. Notes of orange zest, pine resin, caramel, honey, unripe tropical fruit. Medium body, velvet smooth texture, low carbonation and a hop bitter finish.

Radek’s bottle. I don’t know if it travelled well or its just a bunch of hops and alcohol. Not so great, and similar to the three ipa "named" Polish beers i had.

500 ml bottle Browarium Sklepy Piwne - Pours clear amber with large white foamy head. Medium carbonation. Lovely lacing on the whole glass. Smell - citrus to the fore - grapefruit predominates, hints of melon, piney overtones
. Taste - Pine to the fore but not overpowering , citrus background with a crisp bitter finish. Fantastic well balanced double IPA which hits all the right spots from a quality brewery with a consistently great range.
