Review from notes taken Summer 2014. at a bar in Krakow, Poland:
Served on-draught into a conical pint glass.
No bubble show forms as it's poured.
HEAD: 1 finger in height. Decent lacing. ~3 minute retention. Has a nice creaminess and thickness to it. Good complexion/consistency.
BODY: Dark copper-amber in colour. Of average vibrance. Clean looking, lacking any visible yeast/lees/sediment. Transparent; nontranslucent.
Looks adequately carbonated. It's a good looking amber ale.
AROMA: Amber malts, bread crust, and some floral hop aromatics. A pleasant aroma of mild intensity.
No overt yeasty notes are present. I don't detect any off-notes or overt booze.
TASTE: Red/amber malts lend this its backbone. Creamy. Some floral hop flavour.
Average depth, duration, and intensity of flavour. Has a nice balance and subtlety to the mingling of floral hop bitterness and amber malt sweetness. Not the most intricate or nuanced amber ale out there, but it's well put together even if it drifts a bit more towards an Irish red ale with its flavour profile than it does an amber proper. I like it.
TEXTURE: Aptly dry and coarse, which amplifies the perceived bitterness of its toasted malt flavour. Refreshing. Well-carbonated. Medium-bodied. Not too hefty or filling. Has a nice overall presence on the palate.
OVERALL: Very drinkable. I quite like it, but it's not top tier in terms of the global arena. I'll murder my glass, and I could happily have another. It's a damn solid Polish amber ale that's definitely worth trying but not worth seeking out.
