Pours a hazy, dark golden amber coloration with a small, fizzy head. Smell is quite hoppy and dominated by tropical/citrus notes of mango, papaya and grapefruit, with just a hint of a grassy dankness and biscuity malt. Taste follows the nose, with just a touch of biscuity malt, but dominated by juicy tropical/citrus hops of mango, papaya and grapefruit, with the tropical notes standing out, as well as a light grassy dankness. Finishes with a light bitterness and hop burn and some tropical notes lingering in the aftertaste. Soft, pillowy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This was still quite enjoyable at an estimated 6 months old. Your typical tropical NEIPA, but quite well done, with a nice, light dankness to it, not a hint of booze, and great mouthfeel. This might be exceptional fresh.
