Fall is a beautiful time in Montauk. The leaves change color, the air cools off, the traffic thins, and the beaches clear out. Montauk Pumpkin Ale is a sign of the season - just the right amount of spices along with subtle hop aromas, this beer highlights the time of year just perfectly.

A near perfect seasonal brew, more pumpkin spice than pumpkin pie taste. Very pleasant on a crisp autumn day!

Clear, amber color with a medium-sized, off-white head. Seasonal aroma of pumpkin spices with a malty background. Moderately sweet taste. Good, seasonal treat.

I grabbed a six pack of this one on a whim while I was in New York last week. I drank all but one can to save for a review. As my first Pumpkin Beer of the season I didn’t really love it, but it’s still passable. Now, let’s give it a legit review
Pours a lightly cloudy amber gold with 2 fingers of creamy off white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is rather sharp on this one, leaning more into the spice than the pumpkin. I’m picking up on aromas of nutmeg, earthy cinnamon, vanilla bean, bread crust, caramel malt, pumpkin meat, earthy hops, and a touch of raisin
It’s more of the same in taste, an odd blend of sharp and dull. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting nutmeg, earthy cinnamon, coriander, roasted pumpkin, earthy hops, raisin, and light brown sugar. The swallow brings notes of roasted pumpkin, earthy cinnamon, herbal hops, nutmeg, allspice, brown sugar, and light vanilla
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth beer. Finishes mostly dry with a firm bitterness
I don’t love this but it’s still just fine. I’m hoping for more actual pumpkin forward beers this season

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a burnt orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of pumpkin pie. Taste is a good balance of spices and pumpkin, easy drinking. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

decent pumpkin ale. a good ABV at 5.7% sippable and crushable. Nutmeg and cinnamon spices come thru, as well as the fresh pumpkin. Clear appearance, dark amber

Clear deep orange-amber, with just under one finger of light tan head.
Smells just like pumpkin pie , without the overwhelming spice cabinet thing of so many pumpkin beers. I like it! :)
Taste is nutmeg, allspice, clove, lingering burnt cinnamon, a bit of toffee and caramel, and a hint of cooked pumpkin.
Feel is light-medium, smooth, slightly slick, with moderate , very fine, lightly-sharp carbonation tingle. Slight drying after finish.
Overall, fairly pleasant, and easy-drinking. Wish the pumpkin pie flavor , present in the aroma, was more prominent than the spices themselves. That said, it's one of the better pumpkin ales I've had.

The pour is copper colored. The taste is smooth pumpkin flavor & mild spices. This was a pretty easy going pumpkin ale. Cheers! B

Looks alright and smells kind of weak, but it really does taste like a slice of pumpkin pie. The spices were mild and acted as just accents, which to me is perfect. Not my favorite style but a decent brew.

I don't like most pumpkin ales, but I have an annual tradition of trying one anyway to see if someone can get it right. This is my favorite one so far. The sweetness isn't overwhelming, the pumpkin spice flavor actually feels like it fits nicely, and it has a light mouthfeel and low ABV but a bold flavor. I think this is the first time I've said this about a pumpkin ale: I would buy this again.
