Defying BJCP criteria, our Dark Cream Ale takes a traditional cream ale style and employs darker malts to achieve a more roasted profile, while maintaining a lighter body. Mildly hopped, with hints of chocolate and coffee, this beer presents itself with a creamy mouthfeel and gathers cult followings at pubs where it's regularly served.

Clear dark brown with thin head and cap. Yummy roasted chocolate nose. Light-medium malt body, quite thin. Good crispness. An interesting hybrid.

Nice dark ruby broqn colour with a creamy looking brownish head. Nice bitter tastes with slight roasted notes typical of a brown ale. Feel is more carbonated than creamy. Nothing spectacular, but overall a pretty nice beer.

On tap in Lunenburg.
Appearance: clear, dark, red-brown body and a off-white head. Nice lacing.
Hoppy aroma fro style. The flavor partially follows; mildly bitter and off style, even for a "dark cream".
Mouthfeel: smooth; well carbonated; medium body.
Overall: Solid and interesting but h=not what one expects from a "dark cream ale".

Bottle: Poured a clear dark color ale with a medium size off-white foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of light roasted malt with some grainy notes is more or less interesting. Taste is also a mix between some roasted malt notes with dry grainy malt notes which is not that pleasant. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not sure what the goal of this beer was but not sure that the mix of different style was well executed.
