Quick bottle description: Inspired by traditional Vikings ales. Brewed with a heap of Crystal and Biscuit malts, Warrior hops, juniper berries, and aged in red wine oak barrels.
Pours a cloudy rust color with quickly dissipating white dome. Aroma of grapefruit, lemon zest, white grapes, and a kiss of hops. Tastes the same as the aroma but more intense. Tasting the juniper berries, a nice backdrop of the red wine, a little on the malty side but not too malty. The crisp hops blend in nicely. Medium bodied, mellow yet crisp carbo.
I love traditional beer inspirations. This one, at first sip, throws you through a hoop. A clash of flavors. Oddity. Yet after pulling it apart, this beer is actually pretty fuckin solid. Well done brewery I've never heard of
