Noble Bavarian Pilsner is brewed with the Barke variety of barley malt for an exceptionally smooth flavor. Early and late additions of the Noble aroma hops, Tettnanger and Hallertau Mittelfrüh give this lager a pleasant herbal finish.
Eight weeks of traditional ice-cold lagering produces natural carbonation
and a rare drinking experience. Brewed according to the 1516
Reinheitsgebot, the Bavarian Law of Purity, using only Malted Barley,
Noble Hops, and Lager Yeast.

Picked this up at the Ingles in Mars Hill, North Carolina a few months back as I never had anything from Red Oak before. I love a good German Pilsner and this was a great take on the style since it was tasty, full-bodied, and oh-so-easy to drink - even during this brutal stretch of cold weather!

Golden, bright, and topped off with enough uneven foam, this settled down nicely with a ring of suds remaining on the top of the liquid. Not much lacing was left behind, which was this beer's only drawback. Lots of European hops, bread, and cracker in the nose as the taste was just as fun, varied, and surprisingly lively. A nice amount of Noble and Hallertau hops were in the taste with a bit of white grape and barley emerging once this warmed up. Smooth, slick, and eerily reminiscent of a Hefeweizen in the back, there almost seemed to be some wheat in the midst of everything going on here!

Full of bubbles, light in booze, and perfect in heft, this was what a brew of this style should aspire to be. Amazingly, this has a "Best by" date of 10/30/24 printed on the bottom of the can but looked and felt as fresh as could be. So much to like here as this turned out to be an unexpected surprise, and one that I'd reach for again when down in the Tarheel State the next time around!

Just a great easy drinking pilsner. On the Dale's momma Pils level, it is best within a couple months of the production date

Picked up a single from the Airport Road Ingles cooler on 10-17-24 for $2.00. Best by 11-6-24; consumed 12-5-24. Cold stored since purchase.

Beer poured a clear gold with an okay white head with the original pour.

Nose is nice as the malt base is giving me white bread and crackers with notes of black pepper.

Taste is white bread that gives an appropriate amount of sweetness. Hopping lends a nice balancing black pepper. Finishes balanced in the end; 5/10 on my bitterness scale.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and kind of both smooth and refreshing.

Overall, this is solid. Would love to have a can that is fresher to reevaluate.
