Pours a slightly cloudy, deep amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of bready, toasted, caramel malt and berry, citrus hops, with notes of strawberry, raspberry and tangerine, as well as hints of honey. Taste is a great balance of bready, toasted, caramel malt and fruity, slightly floral and spicy hops, with berry, dark fruit and citrus notes of strawberry, raspberry, plum, tangerine and orange marmalade, as well as some peppery spice and hints of honey. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some strawberry, plum, orange marmalade and peppery spice lingering in the aftertaste.

This makes for a very nice amber ale that really brings out the Monroe hops, a new variety to me with pretty unique red berry notes that suits this type of brew very well, while there's quite a bit of peppery spice from the Saphir and Spalter hops as well. The toasted, caramel malts smooth this out with a mellow sweetness, providing a good balance witrh the hops.
