Pours a clear, pale golden coloration with a small, frothy head. Smells of doughy wheat malt and hints of fruity esters and lactic acid. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of doughy wheat malt, hints of estery fruit, with accents of tart green apple, some hay, sea salt and a mild underlying lactic/citric acidity. Finishes with a light tartness and some doughy malt, sea salt and lactic/citric acidity lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light body and medium carbonation.
This makes for a perfectly nice, understated traditional Gose with a mild acidity and hints of sea salt, although it seems to lack the traditional addition of coriander. Quite an easy-drinking and refreshing brew that is probably much better enjoyed during the summer months, but still makes for an enjoyable drinking experience nonetheless.
