Dark brown pour with mocha foam. Not much in the aroma; I was hoping for more maple or coffee. Flavors are there, but finish has a bit of a residual bitterness that I felt took a little from the beer,
Overall my first offering from Hi Jinx and it was good enough to seek out more.

Pours a deep dark brown with a finger of tan head. The nose is quite roasty and the coffee notes add to the hearty roast. The buzzkill on this offering comes with the blast of citrus flavor that really short circuits the roasted qualities.
I am saving the rest of my four pack for aging with the hope that time will muted the citrus blast.
