July 5th, 2020 - Another hard hitting DIPA, with lots of body and muscular oomph, this brings a lot of heavy flavor and a heavy body in a 16 oz. body. But it's getting hot, and this thing is weighing me down. It takes a very long time to slowly down this brew, processing the powerful and sweet hop profile, and the body heavy with alcohol. But that's what a DIPA does. If there's any distinguishing qualities it's that overripe tropical fruit note, like a pineapple wilting in the sun, and a mango ready for ripeness and good to eat for about a half hour before rotting.

On tap
A hazy yellow with a dense, white head with good retention and lacing, this looks solid. The nose is a riot. Clearly juicy, with lots of peach and citrus, but what makes this stand out among the crowd is the rather intriguing dank, herbal, weed-like note that is present. Coupled with the peach, citrus and melon, this is an intriguing brew. On the palate, this becomes a downright enjoyable beer, with a rich, juicy fruit character, enjoyably thick and full on a clean malt backbone that has a mild sweetness and some oat-like flavor. Thick, but in a way that works, particularly because of the pine and weed notes, this beer finishes fruity. Very good stuff.

Definitely looks the part of a NEIPA. Super hazy golden orange with a finger plus of soapy white head.
Smells of citrus, pine, juicy mango.
Taste follows, orange, mango, pine, grapefruit finish. Some bready malts coming through as well.
Medium to full body, well carbed. Smooth feel.
Overall a pretty tasty example of the style, not mindblowing but better than many I've had.

12 oz can into spieglau. Dated 3/8/19. Batch # 17.
Look is nice hazy golden yellow. Smell is sweet citrus. Taste follows nose with stonefruit flavor in middle and grapefruit rind at end. Feel is medium. Overall a very nice drinkable beer that I would get again.

Thanks to brutalfarce for sending me this 12 oz can! Canned on 6/14/18. Fresssh! Batch # 14 (this should really really be divided up into separate beers as I think they do different versions of it each time)
Beer pours a really gorgeous murky dijon mustard yellow body with a tall 3 finger head of cream. It leaves lots of lace on the glass as it recedes. Very nice show.
Aroma of dough and citra hop. Nice pithy stringy orange aromas, very faint pineapple core.
Flavor is pretty piney-peppery, but has a nice citrus/tropical fruit thing going on in the background. The fruits are mostly on the bitter-rindy side though. It's largely earthy, has a bit of a lemon dish soap thing going on as well.
Goes like this : Pine->pepper->earth->lemon dish soap->mango->grapefruit rind->pepper->earth.
Feel is creamy and nicely carbonated, with very little resin on the finish.
Overall, I'm not sure how I feel about this beer. The flavor profile is way more dirty than I'm accustomed to. Very peppery pine with dish soap. Could do without that. Definitely NE IPA with the look and feel though.

I've had previous batches and thought they were pretty good but not amazing, but the latest batch (#13) is a cascadian dark style ale and it's excellent! The fruity, hop saturated character is tempered this time by a dark roasted malt with hints of cocoa. It tastes like a chocolate covered cherry! The taste is rich, and it drinks incredibly easy for 8%. Will definitely be looking for this again.

It says retired, but I just had it at a restaurant (Aug 18, 2017), A lot of flavors going on, probably due to 6 different hops, yet not overpowering.

Medicinal fruity pebbles out of the can. Even worse when poured into a glass. Worth the tick to support your local brewery. Nothing to write home about.

Poured 4 week old can into a std pint glass. Slightly hazy deep honey gold color with nice 1 finger head. Head dissipates but leaves nice sticky lacing. Aroma is slightly citrus and a touch of damp straw and some light biscuity malt. Flavor follows. Mouthfeel is thinner than hoped for but not a bad balance. I would not stand in line for this beer but would give it another try if I was out to dinner and it was on tap.
