The Peanut Butter shot that doesn't hurt! This beer was conceived and brewed by Drew and Jon, our own military veterans. This chocolate peanut butter milk stout encompasses rich aromas of roasted malts, sweet chocolate, and peanut butter cup.

16oz can received from @Roguer in the Barleywine/Stout BIF #1; first experience with Back East Brewing
Poured into a Big Head's Belgian-style tulip
o pours black w/ a nearly-instant head recession; pleasant peanut butter nose; profile doesn't quite come together though and is washed out by excessive carb; appreciate the opportunity nonetheless, Roguer!

Pours a dark cola color and settles as nearly black in the glass with a dark tan head that is substantial on the pour and then evaporates faster than I’ve ever seen the head on a beer evaporate - it literally looked like a magic trick.
The nose is thick with peanut butter and milk chocolate plus a smidge of roasty char, and those notes crossover to the taste, with the peanut butter flavor very nice.
The mouthfeel is where this beer misses the mark a bit - it’s a little watery, where a fuller, creamier mouthfeel would substantially elevate this beer, IMHO.

Very solid overall. A ton of peanut butter on the nose, but a bit more balanced on the palate. Drinks much thicker and creamier than the modest ABV would suggest.

I'm a big fan of the IPAs from Back East, and the Ice Cream Man series is among my favorites (looking at you, Double Scoop). However, I was sorely disappointed by the experience of this beer as compared to the description. Canned in February 2022 and drank from a pint glass in September 2022, it has some of the standard stout characteristics. Mediocrity in these aspects was the saving grace that led me to give some middle-of-the-road ratings, but its metallic peanut butter taste resulted in an overall subpar score.
Look: Dark, dark, dark! Tall and tan foamy head. It's a stout by all appearances.
Smell and Taste: As mentioned, it's quite metallic. There is some peanut butter present underneath it all, but it's barely noticeable.
Feel: It's a thinner stout but not watery by any means. Moderately bubbly. Mediocre.
