Picked up some 16 oz cans of this brew at my local shop. Never had the beer before and have had pretty good results from the brewery. Im sampling a cold can poured into my snifter for this review.
I gotta say the label is a big improvement over the image used for the site.
the beer pours a bright goldenrod color and is fairly hazy in my glass. A 1.5 bleached white fluffy head foams up and fades to a sturdy surface layer. This foam sticks around throughout my sampling.
the aroma on this brew is mild with some bready yeast, lemon notes and a bit of wheat twanginess. No real booze notes on the nose. As the beer warms up more lemon shows through and a little black pepper spice shows up, but its still a mild nose.
first sip reveals a light and crisp textured body with fine tingly carbonation. Beer drinks very easy and is light and refreshing.
Flavor is similar to the nose with some mild bready or doughy notes and some wheat, but then lemon takes over and is fruit first and finishes with lemon pith. This finish is dry and bitey and lingers long after each swallow. The burps are lemon fruity , which is kinda fun. I dont get any booze or any real sweetness on the beer. I think this is a nice beer for a warm day and it is pretty crushable and yet has enough flavor going on to keep me interested.

12 oz. Can, 8 days fresh.
A: Pours a slightly hazed and clearish yellow. half a finger of bubbly white head forms with very nice head retention. lacing is minimal but sticky.
S: Light citrus and wheat. A little hop aroma comes through.
T/M: Citrusy. Wheat. Grass. Spice. Moderate carbonation. Light bodied. Slight bittereness.
O: Pretty good Spring/Wheat Ale. Has some nice citrus and spice flavors. Refreshing and easy to drink.
Cheers!!

On tap at Barley Vine on Main St in Bristol, CT.
Moderately golden to slightly amber colored. This white head.
Aroma is very mild, but some fruitiness comes through with a touch of citrus.
Taste is similarly mild. Smooth, almost lager like. Some maltiness in the finish, actually. Mildly bitter too. Pretty good brew.
