#1744 - Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)…
L- Chestnut brown, pours clear, small patch of foam.
S- Very mild, just a hint of light malt.
T- Quite dry on the front, a roasty-toasty aspect with some malts underneath which linger into the finish.
F- There is something artificial feeling here, it reminds me of how you blind-taste beer and usually spot something that feels wrong with an adjunct brew. I'd not suggesting this is one, but something doesn't feel right, it doesn't feel well put together, something feels amiss...
O- Considering what can be done by a quality brewery with the latitude of 6.3% + the Bock style then this is disappointing. I can finish it but I wouldn't drink it again.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! -> No clues to be found...
330ml bottle BBE: 12/2021 £2.58 Bought from BeersOfEurope, King's Lynn/UK as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

Pours a three finger khaki head that fades slowly leaving a good lace. Hazy amber color. Good carbonation and medium bodied. Caramel nose and flavor is caramel, malty and some dried dark fruit. Decent bock. $4.95 for a 330ml bottle from Bert's Better Beers Hooksett, NH

A new find at Total Wine, since Iam in a lager mood today I picked up a bottle,a bottle that looks like the St. Peters's offerings from England.Poured into a becker a dull amber with a a thinner but well susteined off white head atop.Alot of caramel mal in the nose with some underlying overripe melon wich was a little different.Quite dry on the palate with a grainy feel, toasted with just a a hint of caramel malt. Not bad but pretty pedestrian flavors.

Pours a cloudy medium amber with a thin head into my glass. Very bock-like in color. I'd say it's right in the middle of the spectrum.
Sweet, chewy malt that's amped up due to the carbonation. Authentic. Has to be decent, right? On a side note, why hasn't anyone else reviewed this place?
This is a definite malt bomb. Lots of sweet, chewy malt with a plum/raisin texture and lingering notes.
Unlike the previous review, the carbonation here isn't as vibrant, which is crucial to the style. Too much carbonation and you could get gassy, eh?
An excellent and likely underrated example of the style.
