Hazy, murky brown colour with no head. Not all that appetising at all.
Very sweet malt. Lots of melanoidin. Some raisin. I'd like it a bit drier and with more complexity of character beyond brown sugar and dried fruit.
Sweet and very sickly. No real oak. Some fruit. No real spice. Lacking the complexity and interest of the better Belgian ales.
Medium-full body with moderate carbonation. Okay.
Not a great beer in any way. It strikes me as mashed too high and with too many unfermentables. All this needs is some sugar and some strong yeast to help dry it out but at the moment the diabetes inducing sugar levels and covering everything up.
