Oatmeal has been a favorite ingredient in brewing since King Arthur’s time, and we think you’ll understand why as soon as you take your first sip of pFriem Oatmeal Stout. Notes of hazelnut and chocolate will pique your palate as you savor the smoky-rich finish of this creamy stout. We officially dub thee Sir pFriem Oatmeal Stout, Knight of Beerlandia.

Tasting Notes

Dark black, topped with tan foam. Aromas of creamy hazelnut, with a touch of coffee. Rich cocoa fills the mouth while being silky, full, and smooth. Finishes with a touch of smoke and the carbonation lifts the richness off your tongue.

Rated 12-22-2018. Don't really remember this beer, but I gave it a decent rating and I haven't had a bad beer from pFriem though Stouts aren't my preferred style of beer. 27 IBUs Rated 12-20-2023

On tap at Giovanni's in Beaverton. A solid oatmeal stout if there ever was one.

Jet black with a dense, creamy, dark brown head with solid retention and lacing. The nose is loaded with chocolate and coffee, creamy oatmeal and a mild fruitiness. A robust bitterness is present as well. The palate opens creamy and bitter with a pleasing roasted malt bitterness along with drip coffee and unsweetened dark chocolate. Drying, roasty and mildly fruity on the finish, this beer is medium light in body, creamy on the palate and pleasantly carbonated. Nice stuff.
